I designed a restzone in the city that renews itself under the influence of the weatherconditions. This waterlandscape is orientated according to the winddirections. Most of the time wind and rain come from south-west direction. The primary circulation axis is perpendicular to this direction. The secondary axes are parallel to this direction. The primary axis can be used under any circumstances. It will always be a dry path. Next to this axis I created a sitting zonde or shore, located under groundkevel next to an artificial 'river'. At some places the restzone has a roof to protect from wind, rain and sun. The plaza can be understood as it has been naturally formed by erosion. The natural slopes make the rainwater visible and make some parts of the plaza inaccessible. When there is sun, rain, snow or ice, the plaza can be experienced in a different way and it will get a different use.
